The illustrations on this page provide an explanation of our standard
connection configuration nomenclature. Usually all of these configurations
are available for almost any connection, but occasionally internal construction
details may prohibit a particular combination. We should be able to
provide a functional equivalent to any requested arrangement.

The diagram to the right illustrates the orientation for
connections to the heat exchanger. This orientation is as viewed
from the end of the exchanger nearest to the coolant outlet. In the
accompanying diagrams, this is generally the left side of the
diagram.

Vertically oriented connections on a horizontally mounted
exchanger may be mounted with the centerline of the fitting located anywhere
within the upper and lower quadrants of the shell, as illustrated, unless
interfering with internal components.

Horizontally oriented connections on a horizontally mounted
exchanger may be located with the centerline of the fitting located anywhere
within the left or right quadrants of the shell, as illustrated, unless
interfering with internal components.

|
Radially oriented components may be located anywhere around
the shell, unless interfering with internal components.

The above illustrations all show beaded hose connections. We can
also mount threaded (NPT) and a variety of elbow (45 or 90) or Tee connections on request.
